The advice is the action and effect of counseling or advice. This verb refers to giving or receiving advice or opinion. The notion of advice is linked to that of consulting since, precisely, the Latin consultus means “advice”.
In this sense, it can be said that a consultant is a specialist in a certain subject that offers advice and assistance in his area of expertise.
In this way, we would have to talk about the existence of what is known as financial advice. This is the one carried out by professionals who, after analyzing the history of their client as well as their needs and characteristics, advise and recommend the investments they must make to achieve the objectives they want to achieve.
In order to ensure that the relationship between client and advisor flows, it is established as a necessary and essential rule that between both, not only a relationship of trust but also one of closeness. And it is only in this way that the existing professional union will be maintained.
On the other hand, we would also have to talk about what is known as job counseling. As its name suggests, it is the one carried out by a professional who is specialized in the area of work. Thus, the aforementioned will advise and guide its users on everything that has to do with the workplace, whether it is about aid, subsidies, rights and duties or ways to follow to find a job.
In this sense, it should be underlined that the usual thing is that within town councils and public bodies there are free labor advisory services for citizens who need a guide in the professional field.
Third, we would have to talk about what legal advice is. Both publicly and privately, there are professionals specialized in it who will be in charge of guiding, advising and channeling their clients in all kinds of legal and judicial actions.
Currently, there are numerous consulting companies (known as consultants) that provide professional services thanks to their staff of specialists. Consultants usually offer advice in areas such as quality, communication, accounting, management, marketing and human resources.
The four largest consulting firms in the world are PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte & Touche, Ernst & Young and KPMG, which are often referred to as “The Big Four” or “The Big Four”.
It should be noted that consulting is an independent service of the company. This supposes that the consultant must be impartial, reason why he is in conditions to give his point of view and to point out the errors that, in his opinion, the organization makes. For this reason, the relationship between the consultant and the client can be complex, since the consultant does not have the necessary authority to carry out the actions he deems appropriate, but must convince the entrepreneur about the advantages of a change in his conduct or in his way of directing.
The advice provided by a consultant, therefore, provides the necessary knowledge so that the client (the company that hires him) can solve everyday problems. The consultant should not carry out the resolution tasks; instead, it must advise and provide the necessary professional skills to the managers of the company.
